Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find parking? There is metered parking available on most of the streets in the downtown area around the venue. Park free after 6pm.
What time do people start to line up? There is no answer to this question as it varies from event to event. ALL ENTRY IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED so the earlier the better.
How early can I get into the venue? The earliest time you will be allowed into the venue is when the doors open, which is the time that is printed on your ticket and/or posted online (varies from event to event). However normally we are open all day prior to the events so come early have a drink and eat some food, the door guy will come around to collect your ticket or cash for the door.
Do I need identification to enter the venue? Yes – unless otherwise stated as an All Ages event shows are 19+ and you must be able to present valid photo government ID for entry.
What are the wristbands/stamps for? We do not always use them but when we do they are: Proof of entry. Proof that drinking age has been verified – the Capitol reserves the right to ask for ID at any time. Allows patrons in and out privileges when re-entry is allowed (19+ only).
Do you have a coat check? Yes we do. But only for big events during the winter months, please keep track of your belongings. Please DO NOT leave any valuables as the venue cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
What time does the band start / what time does a band finish? The set times (when each artist plays) varies from day to day and event to event and we will post all event information once it has been confirmed. It should be noted that all set times are approximate and subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, but all changes will be on the schedule.
Can I take pictures? Pictures are permitted with cell phones and point and shoot cameras only. SLR body cameras (cameras w/ removable lens), iPads, and video recorders are not permitted without proper permission granted directly by the promoters and/or artists directly. Is there seating? The Capitol is a general admission venue and is about half standing, half seating. There is seating in the back half of the room for those wanting to sit down and eat or have a quieter area, away from the main stage area. Seats and tables can be added and or removed to accommodate almost any event.
Can I eat at the venue/ is there food? Absolutely! We offer a full menu at every event, please see one of our servers or ask one of our bartenders for a menu and to order. No outside food or drink is permitted.
